Wendy Kihiu

Board Member

Wendy completed her undergraduate degree with dual majors in Accounting and Finance from Indiana University. After working in Accounting and Finance for 20 years, she changed careers to pursue her calling of being a therapist. She earned her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University (VA). She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and a Certified Financial Coach with Dave Ramsey Solutions. 

Wendy’s passion is working with children and their families to help them deal with their current challenges and provide psychoeducation on the importance of strong families in our society. Currently, she works as a Marriage and Family Therapist at Eagle Creek Counseling Services. She is also the owner of Taraja Family Counseling which provides teletherapy to individuals and their families and contracts with DCS to provide home based therapy to those going through the DCS system.

Wendy is married to Benjamin, and they have two school age children. She is a devout Christian and works with children at her church in the Junior Bible Quiz (JBQ) discipleship program. She enjoys interacting with people from different cultures and loves to share her cultural experience as a first-generation immigrant from Kenya.
